The team at The Make Up Box by Carmel Kestles are dedicated to ensuring brides are relaxed and stunning on their wedding day. Owner/Director and Principal Make Up Artist Carmel says, "The morning of the wedding is such an intimate time. I love getting to know brides and their families, it is such an honour to be part of their day".

Carmel's return to the make up industry four years ago was intended to compliment her Carmel Simone Swimwear label, however launching The Make Up Box reignited Carmel's passion for make up, and The Make Up Box has been her main focus since.

Carmel has built an amazingly talented team, who with over 15 years experience combined, specialise in airbrush bridal and photography make up application, bridal hair & makeup packages, and spray tanning to ensure preparing for your wedding is a serene experience. Carmel and her staff are currently finalising 'Inside the Make Up Box', a go to guide for beauty preparations for your wedding.

"Many brides are going for a soft, natural look, with subtle hints of pink or peach and pale lips. This look is incredibly romantic". Carmel advises the secret to achieving this look is a good base, which is why having a solid skincare routine in the months leading up to the big day is so important. Another trend Carmel is seeing at the moment is brides wanting more contouring. "Contouring flatters the shape of your face by enhancing your cheekbones, defining your nose and adding overall definition."

Some tips for brides to keep in mind - staying hydrated is key to clear skin; get your spray tan two days prior (doing the same for your make up trial); and allow 45 minutes to an hour per person for make up application.
